Life Rewards Action

I believe collaboration is key. Rather than dictating or imposing my ideas, I will work closely with you and any other relevant parties to determine the best solutions for your needs or group.

I don't follow a rigid coaching or consulting approach where I simply prescribe actions. Instead, I might provide alternative perspectives and suggest potential steps or additional resources. However, I won't simply "tell you what to do." I firmly believe that we all possess internal wisdom and resources necessary for growth and success.

I understand that tapping into the internal wisdom can be challenging at times. When we collaborate, I will serve as your guide, offering support and even challenging you to access that inner knowing. It may not always be comfortable for either of us, but I believe that embracing discomfort is often essential for achieving desired outcomes and reaching the other side of progress.

Individual Self-Exploration Coaching

I am a certified Shadow Work® Coach trained through Shadow Work Seminars, Inc.  I also am a certified Life Coach trained through the Life Purpose Institute.  I find the two modalities are excellent on their own, but they’re especially effective at a deeper level when used in combination.  They complement each other!  Shadow Work helps heal inner blocks, and life coaching identifies practical, action-based steps for moving towards desired results.

Of course, sometimes healing the inner blocks are enough to be able to move forward; and sometimes, just “organizing” what steps are needed is enough.  We’ll unfold that together.

General Communication Coaching

It is a cliché to say that we aren’t taught how to communicate effectively. And… it’s basically true. For most of us, we unintentionally learn communication “techniques” through the examples or modeling we had growing-up and moving through life. We follow those examples, and they become our habits as well. Sometimes they’re great, and sometimes they don’t work as well as we’d like.

General Communication Coaching is an opportunity to intentionally learn, embody, and practice effective communication skills for personal and/or professional relationships and interactions.  Speaking from experience in both my personal and professional life, engaging in cleaner and clearer communication has improved and enriched my relationships dramatically! That is not an exaggeration.

Conflict Engagement Coaching

Similar to “regular old communication,” we aren’t taught how to engage in or communicate effectively during conflict either. In fact, we usually learn that it’s best to avoid conflict or “get over it” as soon as possible. We often learn that conflict is bad, unnecessary, and that “adults should be able to deal with it” with no problem. The truth is that conflict is going to happen.  It just is.  And, often, it’s unpleasant.  Sometimes, conflict might be easily avoidable; it might be painfully avoidable; and it might not be avoidable at all. Likewise, “getting over it” doesn’t always work the way we want either. To me, I prefer the idea of having some sense of preparedness for when it does show-up.

While there is often overlap with General Communication Coaching, Conflict Engagement will focus on coaching through a conflict situation and how to move through it most effectively. It could also be for conflict situations that you regularly encounter (for example: in your job, you regularly handle customer or staff difficulties, etc.). The coaching itself will likely challenge assumptions and tendencies, and it will likely be quite uncomfortable. AND actively stepping into this kind of coaching will help lessen the discomfort of conflict because there will be opportunity to practice techniques in a low-stakes environnment and make them part of your muscle memory.

Again, from personal experience, my relationships are much healthier and happier because of how I choose to engage in conflict. (Don’t misunderstand… I don’t like being in conflict!! I still feel all kinds of ways that aren’t pleasant, but at least now I know I will get to the other side.)

Conflict Resolution Services

These services could include some coaching around how to engage, but they are primarily the actual facilitation of moving through a conflict -either to resolution or towards more effective interactions. Many people find it helpful to have a person that is “outside of the fray” and not attached to any outcome to hold the space and assist the parties in their communication.  Someone not involved in the conflict is not emotionally compromised and can see options that a person in it might not be able to see.

*Something worth noting: the system in which our culture operates has given us messages that seeking assistance or help is weak or something to hide/be ashamed of -particularly when it comes to communication. I believe that seeking help is actually a strength, and it deserves a high-five!

Team/Group Facilitation

I love working with groups! This is a fun, creative opportunity for everyone to explore what could be helpful for a team as a whole. The possibilities of this could range from intentionally building a strong foundation with a brand-new crew of people or it could be to deepen and strengthen relationships for folks that have been together for years. There are a lot of possibilities with this! Yay!
