The Shadow Work® Foundations Workshop

A Basic Facilitator Training Pre-Requsite Seminar

This Workshop is designed specifically for those folks who want to attend the Basic Facilitator Training (BFT). It is designed to provide you with the full experience of a Shadow Work® Seminar, plus it fulfills your pre-requisite for attending the BFT.

The foundations Workshop will also give you a profound and felt understanding of the foundational elements in the flow of a Shadow Work process from the first steps all the way to the conclusion of each type of process.

This will enable you to understand better whether the BFT is right for you.   And if you choose to take the path of becoming a Certified Shadow Work Facilitator, this workshop will also meet that journey’s prerequisite for attending a Shadow Work Seminar.

Through interactive discussion, some brief teaching components, and observing and experiencing various processes, you will:

  • learn about the Pre-Process Steps, including what they are and why we do them.  You’ll gain valuable insights into the foundations that set the stage for successful facilitation.

  • explore the basic objectives associated with at least two of the BFT process types (Warrior Run and Ideal Support).

  • learn the two main components of how to bring a process to a meaningful and constructive conclusion so the participant leaves with a sense of accomplishment.

  • engage in your own facilitated piece of work within a supportive and constructive environment. The basic concepts will be experienced in real-time followed by teaching moments from experienced facilitators and trainers.

A solid understanding of these things will allow you to focus on deeper learning and refining your facilitation skills if you attend the BFT.  And, if after this seminar you decide you no longer want to attend the BFT, this workshop will benefit your personal and professional growth –– just like any other Shadow Work® experience!  Indeed, an awareness of the basic flow of these processes can help support other types of facilitation including things like giving feedback, running a meeting, or hosting an event.

By completing the Foundations Workshop, you not only gain a comprehensive understanding of facilitation processes but also set the stage for a successful journey into the deeper concepts covered in the Basic Facilitator Training. This prerequisite ensures that you leave prepared, confident, and ready to take the next step towards Shadow Work® facilitation.
